(BANGKOK – September 21, 2007)—New Media Thailand’s Shark Hunter interactive campaign won the Silver Award from TDMA Awards 2007 in the category of Interactive/Website.
Winning the award emphasized the achievement of the work. Shark Hunter is an example of New Media’s constant striving for innovative solutions in online direct marketing. The Client, True Corporation, launched its new True ‘SUPER Hi-Speed Internet Service’ targeting young internet savvy users who surf the internet for both entertainment and to increase their knowledge base. True aimed to promote the new product as well as remind the target consumers about the brand. An interactive game was selected as the communication tool because it fit to the audience’s interest.
Initially Shark Hunter was a big challenge to New Media as it was the first time to produce an interactive game of such magnitude. However, with understanding about the product and target audience and an innovative approach, Shark Hunter was successful in terms of both reaching marketing objectives and creating an innovative solution.
“We had great ideas and a fascinating execution plan. The thing we were concerned about was how to make the reality follow what we had imagined. Finally, everything went the right way because of our strong working team,” said Decha Rakjamroon, Art Director for New Media.
